Yasu Yasi

Hurricane or cyclone whatever you want to call them… this mother is ready to give birth to the biggest load of destruction Queensland has seen since 1918. Though when you think about it, Queensland probably wasn’t as populated back then. So the destruction is bound to KO those statistics.

She’ll be a category 5 when she makes landfall around 10-11pm EST this evening.

For some perspective, you can fit the entire destruction zone of Katrina in Louisiana inside the eye of this one. YIKES!

I’m safe and I hope my family in the North will remain that way.

Heaven help the people who decided to stay in the landfall zone, cause emergency services wont.

    That looks pretty nasty over there. I don’t know if you have posted anything about this but are you near or in all of that mess???

    I’m about 11-12 hours by road south of all that.
    Haven’t talked to my Dad yet today but he was on the outskirts of the cyclone.
