I’m on Ewwtube again.

If the audio is a little soft, you can shoot me later. Oh and if your beads are a little on the large side, it is okay to do 2 runs and not 3. Don’t know what I’m talking about??? Click and be amazed.

Next!

It’s only Tuesday and I’m buggered.

I spent this morning, doing the kiddo’s hair in preparation for school photo day. ~Don’t know why I bothered, she’s not scheduled until after the lunch break. Her hair will be an almighty mess again by that stage~ Then I went chasing a form that she should have received at school yesterday and was overlooked. *not the first time this has happened and I am really freaking sick of it happening*

But I have many hours to go before I sleep. Ahhhhh bring on tomorrow.

Kiddo goes on camp… away… not here… pewf… peace and quiet! shhh

What do I have planned for next 3 days and 2 nights?

Not walking away from my computer at 2pm for the next 2 days, being able to NOT rush back from my craft group. Maybe catching a movie. Spending time with my Mum, who just got back from a trip to the UK. Probably sitting at the stupid MAZDA service center while a bunch of butt crack flashing, cream bun munching, idiots spend 2 hours more than they should to do the ‘TECHNICAL UPGRADE’ I had to schedule at the start of May.

I should probably throw some house work in there too, but if it doesn’t happen I will not be overly distressed about it.

Keep an eye out on my FB account /Friday.Ketchup for my second clip on youtube (even though I will be posting it here too)

Right I’m off to go name the last few things in the camp bound suitcase.

Enjoy the rest of the week. I sure will!

The football fever

I am NOT a football fan. I do not like Soccer, I do not like Rugby, I do not like Australian Rules and I really only watch the Super Bowl for the half time show. ~I do not green eggs and ham~

I see no point in running around in skimpy clothing, chasing an inflated piece of pig skin around a patch of grass so manicured that it just seems silly to allow a bunch of grown cavemen rip it up with their footy boots.

ANYWAY.

Tonight is the first match of what we like to call the State of Origin. I have no idea how it started and I will not be watching but apparently Russell Crow (the owner of the South Sydney Rabbitohs) has done some serious dealings with Fox Sports to have it shown in the States for the first time.

Now if you are reading MY blog and not one from a New South Welsh person; you will be going for the boof heads in Maroon. Otherwise known as the Maroons (pronounced Marr-own), the Queenslanders, and the Cain Toads. Uh huh cain toads.

The other team in blue are known as The Blues, New South Wales, or the cockroaches.

So now that you’ve all had your crash course in the lingo you can sound a little more intelligent when you are sitting there with eyes boggled at how freaking stupid they all are for not even wearing shoulder pads or a helmet.

I guess you could compaire the rivalry as like that between the States and Canada. The only thing really making any difference is an imaginary line. I have a photo of me on the state line between Queensland and New South Wales

So Yeaaaah. If you have the chance to see the state of Origin on Fox Sports, take a chance and give it a go… but don’t expect me to be able to carry a conversation about it because, as I said i will not be watching.

I will be reading, or watching Season 3 of true blood, or sleeping. All of which are far more mentally stimulating that watching the carnage.

Happy Hump Day!

My playlist for the end of the world

Be it zombie invasion, or ‘the rapture’ *note that has to be said in an echo-y booming voice* you’ll need the right playlist for your impending doomage. My taste in music has been known to make some people shake their head in shame and dispute any relation to me; but I give you the best last songs you will ever hear. *laughing voice at the end of thriller*

This is a short list because I had to go to the in law’s place before I could finish. But it’ll still give you a giggle even if you don’t own the songs or have any urges to head into Itunes to seek them out and get an idea of just how odd some of my musical tastes are.

Debut on Youtube!!!

My first VERY quick review on youtube (which will be known from here on in as ewwwtube)

2 days of bloopers and bad audio, resulted in this not entirely revolting clip.

Future ones will be longer, and hopefully less jerky.

Jamie does it SO much better than I do.

He has a tachikoma. I WANT ONE!! They’re so cute.

Watch the anime Ghost in the Shell if you haven’t got a clue what a tachikoma is.

Right, back to work with me.

Oh and if you haven’t tuned into Friday Ketchup yet….. WHYYYYYYYYY???? 6am Saturday Australian Eastern is a perfectly good time to be up and about… for a sparrow.

Hopefully there will be podcasts up within the month for those of you who like to sleep in.

I have a co host now and she’s freakin’ cool. Jackie Spade is funny, caring and we bounce off each really well.

Be there or be square.

The week that just passed

Last week was rather long, drawn out and, for a day or two, was quite painful.

I had things that needed doing and family to see, Friday Ketchup to broadcast and my last ditch attempt at selling tickets in my raffle to raise money for Ovarian Cancer. Then it was Mother’s day and hubby’s b’day.

I was recently reunited with a photo I had been asking for from my grand parents place and decided that I should replicate it as best I could. In the photo I received, I am standing with my Mum, my Grandmother, and my Great Grandmother. 4 Generations of women, 2 of which have passed on. I miss my Grandmother dearly and my Great Grandmother had dementia for most of the time I remember her, so I feel I never got the chance to know the real her.

When Friday evening rolled around I asked my Dad and my Grandmother (from the other side of the family) to allow us to do a 4 Generation photo for the kiddo.

Great Grandma, Grandpa, Mum and the Kiddo

I am so pleased we managed to get the photo. Though I am reaffirmed as to why I do not spend much time with this side of my family. I wish I had been able to visit with Dad without the rest of them, but I guess even the black sheep of the family needs to spend time with the flock at some stage.

My round up of the fundraising for 2011 currently stands at $258. So a quarter of the way to my goal of $1000.
With help from my Aunt ~she’s a force to be reckoned with~ and some innovative ideas (I am hoping will pop into my head any day now), and the generosity of people who understand just how awful Ovarian Cancer is, I will make it to my goal.

Though I was feeling rather gross after the late night Friday and early wake up on Saturday, the day spent selling tickets and trinkets was rewarding.

Sunday was a better day than I expected. I bought a blooming tea from Cherry Blossom Teas at the last minute on Saturday and decided to use one to give my mother in law something special and really unique for Mother’s day. She loved it.

I picked an easy dinner and was contacted by the woman who won first place in the raffle. She’s from up near Bundaberg, so I am impressed that my fundraising has reached almost to my home town.

Monday was hubby’s b’day. I aced dinner and after triple chocolate cake I was full as a goog and happy as a clam.

The week has now finished and the pressure is off. The cheque is in the mail and things can go back to regular garden variety of insanity.

Yum Yum

Hubby’s b’day today!!!!!!

He picked his present.. which made my life a heap easier.

Dinner is on the go and I made a yummy side dish to go with the chicken Minions.

The recipe will be on a blog post on Burn Bright some time in the future.

It is so good I’ve had to hold myself back from eating it all before it’s due to be served.

Best bit is it’s easy AS. I mean come on, if I can cook it blind Freddy certainly could.

Triple chocolate cake for poking candles into and the evening should be done.
I would post the picture I usually take of him every year but I like being alive.

Still learning.

Long weekend and I’m back from my Vision Writer’s meeting. Kiddo is at a friends house because Dadda forgot she’s grounded for a temper tantrum she threw on Friday morning. *sigh*

I’m crossing my fingers the facebook connection thingy I just figured out how to do, works, and allows people to repost my better blogs to their FB accounts.

The learning curve isn’t going to stop there, need to figure out how to create and post a clip to you tube.

Lets hope all works out well, or else I’ll be the next viral blooper clip. Not something I’m aspiring to just yet… and not aiming for Charlie Sheen quality train smashes either.

Hard core jewelry making on the cards so I can go watch Paul with a clear conscience.

Be good everyone!!!
